frequency clock - gallery installation - [ aec98 v.0.0.1 beta ]

 

in september 1998 a beta version of the frequency clock was displayed at ars electronica 1998 in linz austria. the installation formed a part of the xchange presence in the openX component of the festival.

 

 

the installation was installed on four laptop computers, seperated at 2 - 3m intervals. the mini-FM transmitters were domestic quality cd-soundblaster devices. the headphones were FM radio receiving headsets.
